KATIN ENGINEERING CONSULTING has significant experience providing services to water treatment plants (WTP) and wastewater treatment plants (WWTP). We would be pleased to support your needs. Our qualifications include:
- Have over 40 years of industrial and commercial experience, licensed engineers (PEs) and experienced Project Managers; the largest project was a $40,000,000 expansion.
- Operated industrial WTPs and WWTPs.
- Conducted preventive maintenance on multiple 5-years contracts with the Veterans Administration for WTPs and WWTPs.
- Evaluated and trouble shoot WWTP for SWRCB for small communities. Provided services included:
- developed as-built Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) with material balance, equipment description, and process piping diameters and materials of construction.
- developed as-built Piping and Instrument Drawings (P&ID) to indicate isolation valves to allow maintenance, and instrumentation to control processes.
- developed Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manual to help train new operators by providing procedure for normal start-up, normal shutdown, and other non-standard operating procedures; provided list of recommended spare parts, provided list of recommended preventive maintenance, and provided vendor manuals to support corrective maintenance.
- developed Project Performance Certification Reports (PPCR) to document that the design was installed and permit limits were achieved.
- Provide operator coverage for vacation relief for California Department of Corrections WTPs and WWTPs.
- Provide operator training.
- Conducted energy measurement and verification (EM&V) of energy conservation projects for WTPs and WWTPs.
- Have supported Construction Management for Overaa Construction on 4 schools ($8 million each), two libraries ($17 million each), a BART parking structure ($34 million), e-Waste from a DWR demo ($11 million), and SCVMWD replacement of 12 Variable Frequency Drivers (VFDs) for the 2000 Hp vertical lift pumps and new HVAC system to remove heat from the large motors ($9million), an environmental protection plan for the construction of a new Behavior Health Building at VA Mather, and an environmental protection plan for the construction of a new parking structure at VA San Francisco ($10 million) for a total contract value of $135 million.
- A Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), small business enterprise (SBE), and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) engineering consulting firm. Most government contracts have DVBE/SBE/SDVOSB goals. By teaming with us, giving us a small piece of the project, your company meets the government goals.
